busy, busy day.
Matt and I had one of those perfect days where all we do is stay home and work on all of those home chores/projects that provide oh-so-much satisfaction.
Matt spent his day building us a new screen door.
And installing a new porch light.
I am one lucky girl. Thanks Mateo.
I attempted making bread for the first time. And when I say bread, I mean cinnamon rolls. But that counts, right? Bread has always intimidated me – it has always seemed like a skill those perfect homey ladies have that I would never be able to master. But with a little butter and the help of my KitchenAid, I had delicious success! I used this recipe here, but made them in a 9×13 instead of a muffin pan.
Continuing with the gender stereotypes we apparently abide by, I cleaned, did laundry, and made split pea soup for dinner. And I sewed my second sewing project. A trash sack for my car. Not terribly exciting, but a project nonetheless?
And I leave you with a new pug photo (I know, I know, you’re welcome). Someone sends us the “pug-licking-computer-screen” link at least monthly, and I thought it’d be funny to show it to Sophie. Cute and cute.

This is how I keep up on you and Matt. Tell Matt the door looks great. Can’t wait to see it for real.
