Boy howdy do I have a new favorite place in Spokane.  So, one of my new colleagues informed me there is a dog park somewhat near our house.  This came as a great surprise, because to my knowledge the nearest dog park was 25 miles away, because this town is not a dog town (insert snide comment here, zazing).  Matt and I went in search of said dog park and lo and behold, said dog park is ah-may-zing.  It is like my own little mecca.  It’s approximately 7 acres, fully treed, and it’s close.  But that isn’t even the best part.  All dog parks I’ve been to thus far do not encourage (in their setup) any kind of owner physical activity.  Most you just walk in and stand there while your dogs romp around.  But this one has a big path that forces you to walk with your dogs!  And the dogs are so happy.  Angus powers and powers and everyone that goes there is so nice.  No one knows who owns it – word on the street is it may be private property (if so, thanks wonderful dog lover – you make our lives better).

That was a long rant.  But it’s amazeballs.  Really.

I’ve also been figuring out some more sewing things recently.  I spent a while trying to figure out how to make a ruffle for something – it took me a while – but I figured it out.  I made Sophie pose with (yes, I am that girl) – but all she wanted to do was eat the dental floss I used to make the thing that you tug on to make the ruffle.

I started to make fabric flowers to make some garlands for the wedding.  Some garlands may turn in to just one, because it’s taking a stinking long time to make them.

And finally, I’m coveting this dress from Anthro for Matt and I’s engagement photo session, scheduled for the end of May.  le sigh.
