10 things on 10.10.10

1.  My belly is full of apple crisp and cuban red beans & rice (and Leigh’s amazing olive and sun-dried tomato bread).

2.  Said apple crisp was made from 5 different kinds of apples, and it was extra delicious.

3.  Tonight I intend to read a couple more chapters in Half the Sky.

4.  Matt is almost finished with the beautiful screen door he is making us.

5.  I have become a coupon-clipping fool.  Sunday morning’s newspaper is going to become a highlight of my week.

6.  Contributing to my coupon madness is the new budget system Matt and I have adopted to increase our savings account and pay down our debt.  We’re on day 10 now and it stinks.

7.  I made an ottoman (Amy Butler gumdrop pillow pattern with Anna Maria Horner fabric).  I put Angus on top of it to pose for a blog picture.

8.  Said ottoman does not really go with any of our decor, but I believe it would be nice for a kid’s room someday.  I tested this theory on our nieces tonight.

9.  My plan for the weekend was to get caught up on emails.  Which I’m still behind on from the beginning of September.  Guess how many I got through this weekend?  Zero.  It’s a wonder I have any friends left.

10.  Keeping fingers crossed that we get our wedding photos back this week.  Dying to see them.
