crafty couple.
Happy (belated) Thanksgiving.
Mr. Halloran and I had a wonderful dinner with his family, and we spent the weekend doing some major re-organization of our house. Re-organization = new enthusiasm for our home. We’re loving our house so much that we’re even thinking of staying here a few more years than we planned, and thus considering plopping down some savings for some new windows so it’s not so damn cold in here. This was our kitchen window a few days ago when we had a few days of sub-zero temperatures:
Brrrr. Drafty house. New windows would take away some of the charm but make it much more comfortable in the winter months. And there’s that little tax credit we could take advantage of until December 31. Estimate on Tuesday. We’ll see.
So these were technically completed several weeks ago, but as evidenced here I am a little behind in the blogging. Mr. Halloran made us a new screen door for the door we use most, and everyone who has come over has rightfully exclaimed that it is beautiful. Isn’t it?
Oops, I thought I had a photo of the finished product. Guess not. Here it is in progress, I’ll post a photo of the finished product tomorrow.
And here are some crafty pillows I made for my friend Katie.
That is all. Goodnight.
